Spelling Errors, Peasant Bug, Swordsman Control, and Miscellaneous Issues

Hey All,
So I really like the game so far, it feels a bit rough but for an alpha from a small indie team it's nice to have an RTS-type game again. I want to make it clear I'm not doing this to "bash" the game, but on the contrary, I want to see it grow and evolve. Part of my job is evaluating early build software (but NOT video games) so here's what I've found so far. Spelling So some spelling/grammar issues I've seen are here: https://imgur.com/a/4w0Ahz7
From my understanding this game was made by a German company so perhaps that's why there are these discrepancies from an English point of view. I'd be happy to go over whatever text you wanted to make it clearer to native English speakers. Peasant Bug If you accidentally build a path through a peasants farm, at least for my play through, they would just stand there and stop working, but the building said they were working. Swordsman Control I'm not sure if it was just an issue with me but controlling the swordsman was borderline frustrating. Half the time a right click didn't work at all and I also found it impossible to manually garrison swordsman, that little green arrow would never show up, although it did for archers. Miscellaneous
Again, overall I enjoyed the game and can't wait to see how it grows. Thanks, Andrew |

I wanted to add that I'm running the following system, if that helps at all. It ran wonderfully for me, 50-60 FPS all the time.
OS: Windows 10 1909 CPU i7-6700K @ 4.5GHz RAM: 16GB 3200 MHz GPU: GTX 1070 SSD: Samsung 870 Evo NVME Monitor: LG 4K@60Hz |

Hi Andrew,
Thank you for the feedback, we really appreciate it and it's a great help! Yes, we are a German team of two. The spelling mistakes will be fixed in the next version. We're working on a user distribution for our translation software. If you would like to check the English translation, we can contact you, as soon as it's ready. Codyak wrote: I'm not sure if it was just an issue with me but controlling the swordsman was borderline frustrating. It can happen that, if the position is blocked by any object, no valid path gets found and the unit won't receive a walk command. But by default it works pretty good for us. Though I will report it. The movement cursor did not change to green or red at all and no tooltip showed up even if the building was not fully garrisoned? Unfortunately it seems like a Unity bug, but we have to do more testing on it. Codyak wrote: Codyak wrote: Peasant Bug I reported these, thanks. Hi Kai,
Yeah I'd be more than happy to read over and make suggestions on whatever you wanted to help add a native speakers point of view. I'm not sure if you can see my email as an admin but it's codyak13 [at] hotmail [dot] com. One side note to this was I saw both the American and British spelling of some words. For example in one of the screenshots above, I saw both "behaviour" and "behavior". I'm not sure which direction you all are leaning with this however. Also with the right/left click dialogue, I noticed for when you needed to hold it would have a "+" at the end, this was initially a touch confusing but not a big deal once you figured it out. As for the movement selection of the military units, it may just be I'm used to games like Age of Empires or Rise of Legends, where even if there's an object the units will just move as close to where you clicked as possible. Yes the cursor never changed either at the towers or the castle, I found it impossible to manually garrison swordsman at any time, although they did auto-garrison when a new tower was built. One other weird bug I found today was that if you remove archers from the castle and re-garrison them, the count in the box when the castle selected did not return to the original number. Thanks, Andrew |

Hi Andrew,
That's great, I'll email you if the tool is ready, it will make the process pretty simple. It has a search function and allows easy editing of the translation, and we can then review and merge your improved version with the existing data. I guess the British spelling is a bit nicer. Yes, some tooltips are a bit confusing, as we don't want to add too much explanation as text, but in some cases it may make sense. In the current state, the pathfinder can only return valid paths. It's on the to-do list. Codyak wrote: Yes the cursor never changed either at the towers or the castle I reported the archer count bug. Thanks for the help! Best regards, Kai |

Hi Kai,
I did two more play-throughs (before the new patch), and didn't have the cursor issue, so at least for the Window's client it seems to be hit or miss. I just got the email about 0.2.9 and will do a play-through when I get a chance this week. Thanks, Andrew |
